COBRATIG UPDATE FILES - VERSIONXM03J1

This version firmware eliminates MK Maintenance Weld Procedures from reappearing.

This particular CobraTig Firmware Version can only be used on those units with Extended Memory (XM), CobraTig Model 254-151.

This download also upgrades the MKEdit PC/Laptop application. Previous versions of the MKEdit application should be deleted and this included version, MKEdit-V21.exe must be used.

To properly perform this firmware upgrade, a Null Modem Interface Cable must be connected between the CobraTig and the PC/Laptop serial port. Follow the cable connection and CobraTig setup instruction in this kit. This can be purchased from MK Products: P/N 005-0323.

Instructions:

For easiest navigation, unzip file and save the " XXXX.150 " and "MKEdit-V21.exe" files into the same directory.

Double-Click and run the "MKEdit-V21.exe" application to start the SmartArc Weld Program Editor. To send the firmware upgrade into the CobraTig, select 'Send' and choose 'Send Firmware Upgrade to CobraTig'.

When locating the " XXXX.150 " file for upgrading, change the Files of Type: to 'Welder Upgrades (*.150)'. Choose the this recently downloaded file and click on 'OPEN'.

Continue with Firmware upgrade as instructed on screen on PC/Laptop.

WARNING:

Disconnect Null Modem cable prior to welding. Failure to disconnect cable can and will result in damage to the electronics of the PC/Laptop.

WARNING: 

Installing new Firmware will erase any saved weld procedures from the CobraTig. Use the Communication Menu to save weld procedures onto PC/Laptop.
